I offer a 20 minute consultation over the phone. It is an opportunity for us to talk about what therapy will look like and your reasons for coming to therapy. We can get an idea if we both feel we are a good fit for the process.
During the consultation we will talk a bit about the logistics of working together, the type of therapy I provide, what brings you to therapy, and any questions you have.
At the end of the consultation we can talk about what next steps might look like if you would like to book a session.

I offer virtual therapy using a secure platform. It is kind of like using Zoom, or other similar platforms. You will receive a link to use for our session. This does mean that you will need a private space with a good internet connection for sessions. In the event of technical difficulties, I do sessions over the phone.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. You bring whatever content you want or need to therapy and we explore what is happening for you.
We work collaboratively to figure out what you need and go from there.

It is best to contact me to find out my fee and discuss any financial barriers you are facing. I have limited sliding scale spots for folks who face economic barriers.
I receive payments using etransfer at the end of each session.

Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP.
If you have an extended health benefits plan that covers psychotherapy, you can claim my services using my registration number. This number will be provided upon request on your receipts of payment.

Appointments can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the session time for no charge. This allows me enough time to offer the spot to another client who may need it.
My fee for a missed session or late cancellation is the full session rate.

It is best to check in with me as availability can change based on when other folks book in. My current openings are on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

I run a paperless practice, so before our first session, I will send you online forms which we can discuss when we meet. My invoices and receipts are also sent electronically.
